My husband tried to keep it (I purchased it for my classroom). Great little workout -great for incorporating into a sensory path, can be used while watching tv. Easy to store-super sturdy! Life the job-slip surface on top. Definitely use on carpet or a rug with socks, shoes or barefoot-very versatile!

Made very well and sturdy. I wanted more of a slant to it. If 3 1/2†is enough for you, this would be a great item. I did return mine.

When I bought my UpLift desk, I got one of their rockerboards with it. To be honest I thought the whole idea was gimmick but I did find myself using it a lot at home when standing at my desk. It makes standing for long periods of time easier since you are using different muscles in order to balance. I liked it so much that I wanted one of those boards for when I returned to the office (we have standing desks there too). The UpLift version is kind of expensive so I found this one on Amazon. While this one is good, I do prefer the length on my UpLift version. Since it's wider, it's easier to stand and balance on. The Yes4All version has just enough space for my feet to stand at about shoulder width apart. Which is ok, but harder to get on and off of. I guess it's a better workout in terms of using balancing muscles though.Pros:1) Nice grip on the top so you don't have to worry about slipping (though I worry about the sandpaper like top wearing away at shoes)2) Works core and other balance muscles while at the desk3) Build seems solid, I'm not worried about it cracking on meCons:1) Width is a little narrow, makes it hard to get on and off of, also seems easier to fall off of it2) No padded surface so your feet may start to hurt sooner depending on your shoes3) It's a little tall, this combined with the narrow width, makes it a little easy to fall off. I probably wouldn't recommend this to someone who is older.

I enjoy balancing and doing various exercises on this balance board. It challenges muscles and balance at the same time and it’s fun.

It is durable and I’d say it is built for bigger people. I have bought a few products from this brand “Yes4All†and I have been impressed with the bang for the buck. It isn't always the top tier equipment but it is functional and durable.

This balance board is attractive and solidly built. The non-skid material on top goes almost to the edge and holds really well.Side-to-side balancing is easy as mentioned in other reviews.Rocking action is smooth and the material on the rockers grips well although IMO it would be better if it were thinner / less mushy. The biggest design flaws show up when balancing front-to-back.1. The rockers are positioned more than 2" inboard from the edge of the board.By doing this they saved about 4" X 2" of wood on the center brace between the rockers - a few cents worth - and created a significant hazard while adding no value whatsoever. The rockers should be as close as possible to the outer edge to maximize stability on the non-rocker axis. This is basic physics, not rocket science... epic fail. The very first time I tried to use this board for front-to-back rocking I twisted my ankle because the board tipped outward the moment I stepped onto it. Even while writing this review, already being aware of the tipping issue, I had it tip over accidentally. For context I have excellent balance. I'm a skateboarder and bicyclist. I've used a wobble board for years. I got this board to use for specific PT exercises while working at my sit-stand desk. For a couple of those it’s useless.2. The board is narrow on the front-to-back axis. That’s no surprise as it’s easy to see in product photos. I bring this up because I didn't realize this would be an issue until I was standing on the board. The narrowness – especially in combination with #1 – severely limits or even precludes certain front-to-back exercises that require a side by side foot position.TL;DR:If all you care about is side-to-side, this board is fine and it's very easy to control. If you need front-to-back, it's useless for all but a very narrow range of foot positions, and could cause injury. If you're in the latter category I suggest a square or nearly square board with rockers out near the edge instead of a skinny rectangular one with close-spaced centrally-positioned rockers. The rockers should be less than half a foot width from the outer (parallel) edge of the board. A lot of board makers apparently don’t get this.I've added a couple of photos to show the difference in width & rocker position between this board and one example of a better thought-out and safer design with more exercise options. One photo is from Amazon's listing for Trademark Innovations Balance Board 15"; the other is one I took of the underside of this board. The photos are only meant to show a more optimal rocker position cloer to the outer edge, not to suggest that the Trademark Innovations board is better overall.
