If you've ever wondered about wood carving, this is the kit for you.It comes with all the basics that you need to get you started, and if you stick with it, you can slowly add more and more to your collection. But this does have everything you need to get started, which I really do appreciate. Normally these kits that aren't priced too high only have a few of the basics, but this really feels well rounded. I was able to attempt my first piece, which went badly mostly because I'm a very 2-D person so trying to come up with a 3-D form was difficult for me. Luckily all I need now is more wood to give it another shot. It's easy to use and understand (skills not included, thats up to you, apparently) everything is a good size, it's a great deal for what you pay, and everything seems well-made and durable.It;s worth evrypenny to see if you'll like it!!

As a beginner, I decided that it was time to up my game and try other knives instead of just another brand's knives that are on here. This is quite a nice kit. I got the 7 piece kit which included three knives, a pair of cut-preventative gloves, a strap and a polisher and a bag to keep it all in. The strap is smaller than I like (personal preference) but it is really nice to be able to carry it all along with you and keep it all together. The knives seem OK so far, but we'll see as time goes on and if they withstand my abuse. So far, this is a really nice kit!!!!
