I was a little concerned reading some reviews about this item collapsing. But I took a chance and have to say I find it very sturdy. The key is to be sure to fully click all joints together as you are assembling. If there are any gaps, the item will be weak at that point. The item comes with cross bars that snap on to stabilize the back. Mine also came with two bars to stabilize the bottom, although these were not shown in the instructions, but I installed them easily enough. The item was very easy to assemble; took about 5 minutes. The cover is soft and fits will. There are strips of elastic sewn onto each corner and the instructions say to attach these, but I don't see anything obvious to attach them to. But the cover stays on just fine anyway. It would be easy to run a ribbon or string through the four corner elastics and tie it to pull them securely in place underneath. The item is lightweight and I can just pick it up and carry it by grabbing from the back. My dog resisted using the steps at first. But with a little game and treats, he soon learned what it was for. Now he prefers to take the stairs instead of jumping up or down from the couch. Be sure to get tall enough stairs for your pup to reach the sofa. The top step is narrow and doesn't offer leverage for leaping more than a couple of inches. Better to pay a little more and get stairs that end very close to the top of the seat cushion on the sofa. I feel like this was good value for the money as many pet stairs cost much more.

I got this for my 18 month old because I am.currently 8.5 months pregnant and it hurts to pick her up. The specs say they hold up to 50 but she is 30lbs and the steps won't hold much more than that. The frame is plastic so you get what you pay for. For me this works for the temporary help and an inexpensive solution to my pain.

These are the same size as the original doggie stairs that started the craze. The new one is without the cover in the pic, the one with the cover is the original doggie stairs, just with a custom cover I got on ebay. I needed another set, one that was familiar to the dogs. This one should do well. I have concerns over the stability though, it was VERY hard to get the pieces to fully snap in. Bottom crossbar is not in the pics, but is in the box and I clicked it in there. The cover isn't very tight with elastic that attaches to nothing. I pulled it down and attached to the bottom crossbar and tied it. The suction cups are very difficult to get in, find a screw driver and work them in.I hope they settle in and hold up.

I have an elderly maltipoo that needs assistance with getting on the sofa. This product was easy to put together and is sturdy for my 12lb dog. It's the perfect height for my low sofa. It's soft and goes well with my decor. I trained her to come up the steps with a few treats. It comes with 4 suction cups on the base and securely adheres to my tile floor. It can easily be relocated and is very light. I am happy with my purchase.

So my doggie was going up the stairs and the step fabric shifted and she fell down twice. It needs reinforcement at the base of the steps so it doesn’t shift. The only way to keep the fabric cover on is by using the suction cups even if you’re on carpet like myself. Other than that it came in the wrong color when I ordered it but it’s clean nice and easy to put together. The base is cream colored instead of black and it was easy to put together. So far I’m happy with it but I will have to make two adjustments in order to keep my dog from falling down the steps. She is going to be 16 years old and can’t have this happen to her. I would still purchase this item again.

My wife and I purchased this for one of our chihuahua that was having a harder time jumping onto the bed. At first it almost resembled a soft cushion stairs. When I looked at the box, it was all plastic that needed to be put together.Putting it together wasn’t that hard or sophisticated, but pushing on the plastic was a little tougher than expected. Suction cups for the base of the stairs, eh might need or not need them.After getting the plastic stairs put together, and then putting on the cover, which made us think it was a soft cushion stairs, wasn’t hard. The stairs themselves were a bit flimsy. Even though everything was snapped together, I wouldn’t consider them sturdy. The stair were very short and that’s probably my error for not measuring the height of my bed. The three stairs were short of the base of my mattress.I could’ve built a better stairs with milk cartons. Said to say, very disappointed in this product.

Easy to assemble. Just the right height for my sofa, but not for my bed. My 3 month old puppy learned to use the steps within 5 minutes and continues to use them--going up and going down. Size is good, too: I Live in a small studio apartment.

La escalera llegó en el dÃa previsto. Fue muy sencilla de armar, y aunque le quedó un poco corta a la cama, a los sillones le queda bien. Mi perrita la aprendió a usar inmediatamente y la ayudó mucho ya que tenÃa mucho dolor de espalda. La compré también principalmente porque se desarma y asà puedo viajar con ella.

En si, esta bien. La esturtura es solida y se arma muy facilmente. El detalle es que la tela es bastante delgada y queda muy estirada, en particular en las esquinas del escalon mas bajo y no creo que dure mucho. Pusimos un refuerzo dejabo de la tela para que dure un poco mas, pero definitavmente lo mejor seria mandar a hacer otro forro con una tela mas gruesa antes de que se rompa.
