Really solid shovel. I have the small one (no extra tools or handle length). It s really solid. The metal collar is nice. I don't know that I will use it to the full measure they seem to suggest (axe, saw, etc.) but I do love having it for a good winter hike/camp.That being said, it will not be in the "hiking" pack. If I am focused on the hike and not so much the camp then this will be the first thing to go. It weighs 1.65 lbs! That is a monster of a tool. The small aluminum trowels can come in at .5 oz which is a huge weight savings if all you need to dig is cat holes. So again awesome tool for deep camping, car/truck camping, or emergency preparedness. Not the tool for serious light weight hiking.

I suppose it's my fault for not paying closer attention to the description, but this "shovel" is somewhere in size between a hobby gardening shovel and a real shovel. It'll work in case of emergency if you get snowed in and need to dig out tires, but you're gonna have a bad time if you need to do more than that. It's also going to be hard to put a lot of weight into it like a typical shovel because it's not exactly stepping on size.That said, the additional functions of the shovel do make it worth keeping around. The serrated edge is actually quite sharp, so that could come in handy. The shovel itself is also quite sturdy so I imagine it could easily break through ice if necessary (one of the pros of it being small).I bought it as an emergency car shovel, so my review is skewed to it's usefulness in that regard. However, I think this could be a really great tool for camping.

I really like this shovel. It's compact, lightweight and super handy. It comes with a carry case.. it also has a serrated edge and bottle opener snd transformsto s pick axe. I would def recommend this

Not only is it pointlessly small, but they failed to include all parts it should have. Inside the baggie should be three different parts. Mine only had two. Now I have a shovel for a gnome. Thanks China.

This thing is a joke. Its shovel blade is smaller than my hand and the whole thing assembled isnt even the size of my forearm. It is unusable. Do not buy this product.

parfait pratique et tres solidepetite taille demontable pour mettre dans une poche de blousonj'ai utilisé cette pelle pour faire des saignés pour faire evacuer l'eau de chemins de randonné et franchement tres solide pour creuser mais aussi la partie pioche dans les cailloux

I bought this for metal detecting a particular stony beach , I use it folded out like a pick axe for loosening compacted stone then flip it over and scrape and hack the loose stone out of the hole, I have been surprised how strong the pick is and the spade for prizing larger rocks out of the clay . It collapses nicely to fit in my rucksack. I’ve used it for quite a few hours now and it’s showing no signs of wear after being used hard . I keep the moving parts and threads oiled because it is often covered in clay .Anyway I have bought another one for my misses and to pinch a section of handle to make mine longer . I hope this helps anyone thinking of getting one , I am a tradesman and value quality tools and this has impressed me

When i receive it i was a bit concerned about size . I thought it's a bit too small . But when i put it together i was pleased from the size and the quality. Damn ... It's like weapon )))) hard steel with soft grip , used it for hiking. Absolutely brilliant, one of the most important thing it doesn't weight a lot , and doesn't take much of a space. love it multi-purpose functionality. Only thing sharp edge wasn't sharp enough for me . But i did it myself with sharping stone, now it's sharp like knife ))) i suppose it's going to be my favourite thing while hiking) ohh... And nice pouche , easy attachable to your belt

Mein Großvater hatte immer einen kleinen Klappspaten im Auto (im Winter). Sehr nützlich. Dieser hier ist um einiges leichter und mit der kleinen Tasche super zu verstauen, oder am Gürtel/Rucksack zu befestigen. Die Nutzung als Hacke finde ich genial. Der Umbau ist super easy. Der schraubbare Stiel ist hohl, hier könnte man z.B. Feuerstahl oder Anzündmaterial, oderoderoder unterbringen. (Wenn er zusammengesetzt ist). Wir sind sehr beeindruckt von der tollen Qualität.
