Very easy install , installed this on a 1998 c6500 Kodiak with a Cat 3116 , just drain the coolant, remove freeze plug on passenger side of engine , clean the hole insert the heater pointing up and torque the retainer , tested in on a 20 degree morning and the truck started right up. Awesome product.

The electric cord is so weak and it can’t take the amps that’s needed to go through the heater unit. It gets so hot that it eventually melts.
