I didn't buy it for reptile use I got it to use in my Orchids. I liked how the bark was small and easily worked in around the roots. I also liked that it was clean and dust free no need to rinse it before use. Made the Orchids pot setup look nicer unlike my previous Orchid barks. I believe that this will be my new go to bark for all my Orchids.

We use this as the top layer of substrate for our crested gecko's terrarium. I don't have any live plants in there and this sits on top of a mesh liner to separate it from the hydroballs on the very bottom of the tank. Overall, it is very easy to work with. I liked the price point and the fact that it can be reused; but for the price point, I won't feel bad if I need to buy more versus cleaning what I have. For our 12x12x18 tall terrarium, I used about half a bag.Like I said, I don't have any live plants, so I can't speak as to how well it hold moisture for such an application, but my gecko has never bothered it nor seemed interested in trying to eat it. It helps hold in moisture so it keeps her tank humid, even though we only spray it once in the morning and once before bed. It has a very pleasing color and it makes her terrarium look beautiful and natural. I would highly recommend this to other crestie owners for it's price point, durability, appearance and low maintenance.

My bag contained a lot of green stem fibers instead of the the bark nuggets you'd expect. Maybe like 5% of the bag? There were also a few black rocks as well as a chunk of plastic. Nothing like the quality I got from a bag I bought years ago.Still usable and cheaper than a lot of other brands, just be sure to sift thoroughly before use.

I use this reptibark in my soil mix. They aren't huge chunks like regular orchid bark and is cheaper. It is a quality additive to soil mixes and doesn't seem to break down.

wir benutzen das Rindenmulch für unsere Schildkröten. Die fühlen sich da sehr wohl. Wir hatten schon andere Hersteller probiert, die deutlich schlechter waren. Dort war teilweise Ungeziefer zu finden und die Qualität hat stark geschwankt. Das hier ist gute Ware. Sehr empfehlenswert.

I used to use aspen substrate, but I wanted something more natural looking. Repti Bark was the answer! It looks like a jungle floor and helps the humidity hold really steady. The darker colour means a darker environment for my reptile to live in! I have already ordered some more and am looking forward to using this as a substrate in all my future Vivs!
