This is an easy and lower cost fix for excessive pressure drop and inconsistent pressure.It was super easy to install! It's best if you remove your pressure regulator valve and bring it to a bench vise to rebuild it there, since removing the valve's bellhousing could put excessive force on your pipes.Once it's installed, be very careful when installing the bell housing since the fine threads are easy to cross thread. I recommend adding a little bit of the silicone lube they supplied on the threads to make it easier to tighten. Also, go easy on the torque for the bell housing since it's made of plastic. Tighten it until it seats and stops.Again, for a little more than half the price of a new valve, this is an easy fix for your pressure problems!

This was as easy as I’d hoped. I suggest taking the regulator out of the line for the rebuild, the new gaskets ensure no leaks when you return it to service. The directions and diagrams help. This kit has everything you need, Just don’t over tighten anything, lube the rubber well, and it will seal!

My Pressure Reducing Valve was leaking, at first a little wet then started dripping, the kit makes it really easy to replace and save hundreds by not having to replace the valve or call a plumber; I would suggest getting a pressure gauge to set the valve once reassembled, most likely the failing valve will either be over or under pressure, so being able to set the correct pressure will keep your plumbing safe, ideal range is 50-70 psi ( I set mine low then adjusted higher based on how it felt from the shower)

Don't replace your PRV valve if it'sleaking. This kit contained every necessary replacement part to completely rebuild the PRV valve with great instructions at a fraction of the cost to replace it.
