I have a Supermicro X11DSi-NT motherboard. I bought this cable to attach my U.2 drive to. The drive shows up just fine as /dev/nvme0n1. I can format and mount the drive. I can even write data to it and query the drive and controller via nvme-cli. But randomly after anywhere from 10 to 50 gigabytes written, it locks up my entire server. No console output. No errors logged. Nothing.

This is the only cable I found that works on an ASROCKRACK ROME board, oculink to NVMe U.2 Drive. Thank you to the other reviewer.

Works great! My mother has two empty oculink this cable allowed me to connect a second M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVME drive using a U.2 to M.2 adapter.I may never use SATA again!

I feel like this cable is overpriced at $30+, but it worked exactly as expected to attach a U.2 SSD to my Asrock Rack ROMED8-2T.
