The product looks well-made however it arrived with no battery and all the inscriptions and measurements are in Japanese or Chinese when I have time to go to the store I will pick up a battery and then I will update my review

Had a shim the metal piece the flattened out it was off about a 16th of an inch which is a lot

Pretty low quality height gauge but for this price what do you expect. Accurate. Slide is a tad sticky and I'd be afraid to drop it.

Arrived broken where the column meets the base. It wasn't very "substantial" and the packaging was totally inadequate.

Got this in and it is made of all plastic except the tip. The whole thing is very wobbly and can't imagine it is accurate.

Very flimsy. I wouldn't even recommend this for woodworking, forget metalworking

I bought this for metal work and it is just to cheap for that. It is super flimsy and won't hold it's mark.

Very nice tool. Only problem I had was it didn’t sit quite level. I had to machine the bottom about .005 of an inch then it worked awesome. I like this tool very much. Can’t complain I had to machine it a lil bit as the cost was very low. Thanks for the awesome tool

Your layout is important and should give you hope and confidence for the process you’re planning. There’s deep meaning and satisfaction in doing a good, accurate layout, and it should feel like your morning coffee. This does not do that at all. It is a toy and you will probably feel like an idiot using it. As for measuring, it just doesn’t have the rigidity to confidently measure anything. Its very light and has flex. 3 stars because the price is a good value for the lesson I deserved to learn in buying this.

This unit functions as advertised.If uses this for scribing it flexes at the base.However, this is the cheapest one that was available at the time.If you are going to use this for scribing, then get the more expensive model, otherwise it works fine.
