While most commonly used for masking purposes during finishing, there are hundreds of other uses around the shop, home, lab, classroom, etc. This superior grade of silicone is capable of withstanding temps up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 Celsius) for 20 minutes and holds up to most chemicals. It is ultra tough yet flexible, reusable and will not crack, harden, shrink or break over time. I bought a variety of sizes and they work excellent for automotive evap testing to plug components and the larger size works great to seal off the gas cap fillpipe neck.Also bought the caps in a variety of sizes as well.Wish I had these sooner,the harder plastic ones they make specifically for this purpose never ever seal correctly because they don't conform very well especially when something as small as a .010 of an inch leak will trigger a code,nothing gets by these softer silicone caps and plugs.

As described. However, I did not measure accurately, these do NOT fit standard 20oz or 30oz tumblers- they are too small.
