This file is an electricians dream. Fits in the pouch very well. Perfect size for filing the edges of strut after cutting to size. Wish I would have found a lot sooner. Much better than the 12 inch half round file.

A primary function of a flat file is that it provides a flat reference with which to level a thing (after all, this is a "flat file"). Unfortunately here, this file can't accomplish that task because it's actually curved. By quite a lot. Further, the end of the file has a sharp, upward burr that sticks up maybe half a millimeter, which means you can't allow the end of this file to touch the work surface because it will gouge the work. One thing is for sure, the steel is hard because taking down that burr is going to require a grinder.Altogether, this is not a good file. It's actually quite bad. I know Nicholson is not what it used to be, but when you see something like this, well, you regret not having bought a Nicholson.
