These 10 gallon coolers work very well as mash tuns for five and ten gallon batches, as you'll notice barely any temperature loss throughout your 1hr+ mash. Comes with a stainless ball valve cooler kit and a 12 inch stainless steel false bottom. The dial thermometer makes it easy to monitor the internal temperature of the mash without have to remove the lid of the msh tun and lose any heat. The dial face is 3" and the probe extends 6" into the mash. The barb size on the mash tun for the output is 1/2". All metal parts are stainless steel.

The thermometer was advertised as having a 6" probe. The one I got was nowhere close to 6" long. The mash tun comes completely unassembled and I received parts that weren't the correct size in addition to extra parts, some of which were so clogged with excessive teflon tape, that it was impossible to even attempt to assemble the mash tun before picking all of the tape off. For what they charge for this mash tun, I should receive a fully assembled unit. Instead, I got a cooler and a bunch of parts that didn't even work. The only thing they did (besides throwing a bunch of parts in a cooler) was drill the hole for the thermometer. DO NOT BUY!
