10 pc wood carving & engraving bits: Very sharp, nice and pointy. I needed to radius an existing couple of holes that I had previously drilled but forgot to radius the exit. The cables for which the radii were required were already installed, so I needed to work around the cables. I used three of these, and was able to carve the required radii. Unfortunately, my hand was insufficiently stable to perform the operation without nicking the cables, which also nicked and damaged the three bits just a tad. However, I suspect that the bits will still carve wood quite well. Very handy tools. These were well worth the price paid.I have since used these to drill/grind out some brass screws. The brass screws that hold our shower drain ‘screen’ broke, and I cannot pull them out. So, I need to drill them out to install ‘Helicoil’-type inserts. One screw I drilled off-center, so I am using a couple of these to drill/grind down the center of the screw correctly. This is not their designed/intended use, but they are working quite well on the brass screws. I may destroy these bits, but since they save me the cost to repair, the bit cost is well worth it.

Love these bits. They are super sharp and they work great at all speeds. They are very versatile, very durable and they have every size you need. Will be buying more.

I don't know how sturdy they are, I heated them, quenched them, and tempered them before I used them based off the recommendation Jordy Johnson (super famous youtube carver). They cut real nice, I like to use them to "draw" like I said, and also, if you use the long edge they really remove a lot of material.

I am an artist for a wood carving magazine, and a pro carver myself and I have to say these bots are good for hogging stuff out but the shape isn't the best and they kind of grab and pull the bit in directions you don't want. As a sculptor I have strong hands and despite what you see in the video unless you are using really soft wood like pine, these things kind of have a mind of their own. Where they excel is removing large amounts of material from the outside edges of your project and moving into it. Details and interior work require patience, slower speeds and alot of control. the pointy tips are not neccessarily go are they can dig in where you do not want them to. Now the good news at thisnprice point they are good for removing material and they seem to stand up to hard use. So if you wants some cheap bits to really go at it, then these are not bad, just realise they are not great for beginning to end, but rather mostly for rough out. In that respect they are worth the money.
