I like this grit however I did order the 12000 grit for final polishing stage. The stage four it comes with does not do the job.

If you follow the instructions and do as they require, you will achieve the desired results. You have to be very patient and check the progress of the tumbling to see where you might need to make adjustments.For example: if you have too much foam from the action--> add a bit more water, if you have over stuff the tumbler--> remove some of the contents, if you see some rocks are getting smoother while others do not--> move back one step on the grit to work on those.Definitely add the extra media that they include to help keep the tumbling on track. Also, pay attention to the smaller stones that have been ground down faster so you do not over tumble those.Hint: to speed the process of the "shiny" finish, tweak those on a buffer wheel if you have access to one along with the proper buffing rouge.This is a lot of fun if you are not in a hurry and expect overnight results!

I bought a rock polisher from a yard sale. I searched to find what I needed and was directed to purchase this collection of materials I would need. I have had more fun with this rock polisher and rock polishing kit. I have had it running for two months straight. I am 60 and this has always been something I wanted to do. I was so excited when I got this kit. It comes with all the polishes needed to polish your rocks. It also comes with instructions. The packaging was really done well. I did not have any communication with the seller, so I can not review them. My order came quickly and I am extremely pleased. I will order again from them.

rock tumblers are fun if you have the appropriate place. they are noisy. I put mine on the floor because it can fall off a table with the vibration. the refill kit had nice things in it. amazon asked if it's appropriate for kids. I would say depends on the kid. I would say 13 or older. you do have to pay attention because it can come of the belt or need water change. it is running continuously soooo.

This seems to be the best priced kit I could find, that contains all 4 stages of grit. I'm having trouble with stage 4 polishing my stones, but I don't know if it's a problem with the grit, polishing beads, my tumbler, or user error. Overall I'm very pleased and would order again.

This kit is much better than the usual ones I buy enough grit for 4 tumbles stones came out nicely polished at the end.

I have a smallish tumbler and this grit will last me a long time. I especially like the addition of polishing beads and the scoop. The extra stones were a nice bonue.
