The seds came fast. I followed instructions by soaking them overnight. I planted 8. They all came up. They never bloomed but that was my fault. I planted them in a raised bed. I found out later you can't do that. Okra roots have to go down deep or they won't produce. Next year I will plant in the ground. My neighbor planted in raised bed and they didn't produce either. He planted in ground last year and they got about 8' tall.

I think many who get these seeds don’t understand the warmth needed to get loofah seeds to sprout and the amount of soaking (seeds are aged and that shell is pretty hard). I have grown loofah a few times and when I buy packet seeds if I lose all my home grown I soak the seeds for 24 hours in a jar of water (cool). They should be pretty soft where if you pinch them width wise they will open a bit. If not I carefully take something to pop the end open a bit of the seed is tough. I then put it in a jar between towels that are moist with seeped lid for another 24 hours and then put the jar inside a tub of warm water to keep the glass warm. I had 100% sprout a root within the 48 to 72 hour time frame.I’ve put the seeds with tiny root in a seed starter tray now and will let them sprout. If I ever plant in ground direct by seeds it has taken weeks unless it’s summer and the ground is warm. So if you are planting in ground without soaking I’d say give it a lot of time. Will update with photos once they sprout their first leaves.

These are the best! Shipped quickly and received more seeds than expected. We have used this brand and variety for 2 years now in Oklahoma. I start as seedlings in ziplock bags with about 95% sprouting. Once I transplant into 3" containers 100% of them survive. Then they go to the garden and as long as I can keep the rabbits out, they all survive with a full harvest. The okra is soft (spineless) and tender. If you let them get overgrown they will be stringy but that's the farmers fault. These freeze very well. I have actually used seeds from a previous year and still had the same yield. Just store them in a dry cabinet.

Some days it’s hard for me to go out and pick up every single day with their if it’s a little bit too big it’s not so hard that I can’t use it when it gets a little bit oversized
