They work exactly as described, makes it much easier to measure how much water your grass is getting and therefore stops you wasting water. Great product, shipped crazy fast.

Very pleased with these gauges. I've recently become an obsessed nerd about trying to make my lawn look incredible. I had a couple large barren spots and when I couldn't find any pests or weeds in those areas that could account for the dead grass, I thought maybe it was water related. I got the set in order to measure the amount of water my sprinkler system puts out. Absolutely very glad I got the 10 pack set instead of just one or two. Being able to place these in various problem and non-problem spots was perfect to really trouble shoot the issue. I was able to make a map of the lawn and note the amount of water collected, then take that to the local gardening pros and see what they think. A lot of people use tuna or chicken cans, but these are so much easier since they're already marked with graduations and can be driven into the ground to ensure they stay level.On top of getting 10 gauges, I also really like that these can be placed in a couple different ways. First, the spike makes it easy to drive into the ground. Second, you can hang them from something like a bird feeder with the molded tab. Lastly, you can hang them from a nail on a wall.Reading the water levels is easy and the capacity is a good balance between not being so large that storage is an issue but big enough to allow for quite a bit of rain or sprinkler output without overflowing. Storing these can be a little bit tricky though. With the spike attached, packing 10 back into the original box is a challenge but I was able to do it. It might be worthwhile to get a canvas bag or something for them.

The rain gauges are as expected. They work well, but the plastic quality is not overly strong. Be mindful if you have compact soil, as too much pressure will break them. It will get the job done, and the fact that you get 10 gives you extras or allows you to spread them across a more enormous lawn to give you a better understanding of your irrigation system or rainfall in those areas.

I use these to judge how much water my portable Orbit sprinklers are putting out and at different distances and locations. Helpful is you are trying not to use any more water than necessary. The plastic is robust enough to put up with multiple cycles of being pushed into the ground. They clean up nicely. The box they came in works well for non-use storage.

These were very handy for measuring how much water each section of my lawn was receiving from my inground sprinkler system, they allowed me to get accurate measurements and make adjustments to the system..
