The starter seems to be well made, and is carefully packaged in a cushioned box. Hopefully the appearance is a good indicator of the quality and durability. Installed it yesterday and it works very well. Will definitely come back here update review if it has any issue (hopefully never).

This replaced a failing starter on a 2015 crv. It went in just like any other, and, after several months of pretty heavy use compared to average, it hasn't had any issues. Great price compared to anything else I could find, and build quality seemed on par with OE. I just wish manufacturers would leave the starter solenoid separate since that's a much cheaper thing to replace and was the failure for what this replaced.

It's been a week and is still going. At 1/10 the price of a Honda starter (msrp), maybe only 1/5 if you find some shadowy seller of honda parts, this starter only has to last long enough for me rebuild the original starter to pay for itself. It worked fine out of the box. No fitment issues but one weakness that ended up impacting my installation. The cable stay is very flimsy. I bent it while rotating the starter motor into place. I bent it back and was able to mount the wire harness on the stay with some struggle--it didn't seem quite right dimensionally either. I removed it to gain better access to the mounting bolt to torque it down. But could not get the harness mounted again. The stay kept bending and I was worried it was going to snap off, so I used a cable tie. They reached out to ask about my satisfaction PRIOR to this review, the rep had this response to my complaint: "Thank you for your reply and your suggestion. I will submit your suggestion to our production technology department at our meeting.Thanks again!GIPAMA Customer Service" That's encouraging, right? I'll update with longevity data if/when it dies, but customer service seems to be great.

Installed a little over 11 months ago on a 2013 Accord 2.4L Touring and still works. Hopefully the starter doesn't give up the ghost anytime soon.I gave this 5 stars since it was easy to install and the interface is identical to the original part.
