I am delighted with these discs of varied shapes and “bitesâ€. I’m a stone artist, but I confess, these tools are stirring a hankering to delve into some creative wood shaping. I had recently tried out a single disc of the scouring toothed variety for the first time, and I was so delighted I wanted to get a full kit. With this 11-piece set, I now feel well set-up for an adventure.The scouring toothed discs (4) are what I had my eye on, when I ordered the set. They are great fun, and can scour away wood at an amazing rate. Now, with everything from a flat plane, to convex, to a drum cylinder, I feel ready to attempt just about any shape.However, I was especially surprised (and delighted) by the convex, 12-toothed, “wood shaping†disc …which is essentially a convex planing tool. So cool! I love the way it slices thin shavings out of the wood in a smooth, silky feel. The trailing edge of one tooth functions as a gauge, controlling the depth of bite of the chisel-like blade following, so it’s not at risk of grabbing and “running away†like the scouring discs are prone to do. A delight to use. I never knew there was such a wonderful tool.I’m sure I’ll enjoy using the flapper wheels, but I didn’t test them this time around, being somewhat familiar with them already.…The chainsaw disc? Well, I won’t even go near it. I realize people want and use that tool…but man! As far as I’m concerned, it’s nothing but coiled-up tragedy and heartbreak, waiting to ruin your life. It’s like using a chainsaw with all safety features removed, and the throttle locked wide open. What could go wrong?! …As you have probably gathered, I wouldn’t recommend the chainsaw disc to anyone, unless maybe you’ve mounted the grinder securely on a frame, and operate it via a lever from a distance where you-and-it can’t ever reach each other.But with the rest of the kit, I couldn’t be happier.

Woodworking has been a hobby of mine for over 20 years. I've also briefly experimented with similar tools in the past, e.g. chainsaws and similar disc. I like this kit because it literally has everything you need to carve up and fashion wood (from the coarsest chainsaw-ish disc to sanding pads) So far this has been the best assortment of tools that I've used. The quality seems ok to me. To maximize your experience ensure that you're working with properly dried out wood; effective wood carving is dependent on that. I'm not seasoned enough to really comment on the quality...they look like something you'd find in your average Wood speciality store like Woodcraft. I used these tools to fashion barstool out of a log. In my 20 years these have performed the best. If anything, I think this is a good buy just to get you started. I like the fact that it even comes with a tool. The kit earns 5 stars because of its completeness, performance, and value for the dollar.

I'm not much of a carver but I like working with wood. I thought I would give it a go so I ordered this kit. Not knowing what I would need I took a shot. Over all I would say the kit works just fine. It's me who is the weak link. As I find time I'm sure I'll improve.I would suggest watching youtube videos to learn what each disc does and how to properly use them if you've never done it before. Each disc did what I would expect as the speed I would expect. The biggest problem is that I now want multiple grinders so I don't have to keep changing wheels.

Parts of discs can fail at high velocity - creating projectiles. Eye, hand, and body protection is strongly advised. Keep other personnel out of the work area.

This set is a little scary. The chainsaw attachment will not be used by me. It looks like it is ready to explode already. The other pieces are okay. They aren't great, but they seem like they will work okay. They are just spikes peeled from the surface of the metal disc. The flap wheels are very rigid and the surface of the sand paper is very minimal. They don't seem like normal flap wheels.

This review is for the Konvixon 11PCS Wood Carving Disc Set .Wow - everything you'll need to sculpt an eagle out of a tree stump! Well, all that's missing is skill. These discs are sharp and will easily clear up a log or dimension lumber. You even get a wrench to change the discs.Am I a satisfied customer? Yes.Would I recommend this item to a friend? Yes.

This has every disc you could possibly need for woodworking with your angle grinder. The carving discs are very sharp and will take off a lot of material very fast so you have to manage your tool control. These are great because they can do wood shaping that is otherwise pretty hard to do with chisels, saws, and carving techniques. Again, this is a very complete kit so you will probably have the right disc for every job. A great kit with a lot of value.
