A flange nut is a nut with a wide flange at one end and can be used as an integrated non-rotating washer.
This is used to distribute the pressure of the nut on the parts to be fixed, thereby reducing the chance of damage to the parts and reducing the possibility of loosening of the parts due to uneven fastening surfaces.
The flange can be serrated to provide a locking effect. The serrations are angled to prevent the nut from rotating in the direction of loosening the nut.
Because of their serrations, they cannot be used with washing machines, nor can they be used on surfaces that cannot be scratched. The serration helps to avoid vibration of the nut and increase the retention of the nut.
Fine thread pitch: 1.0mm is made of 304 stainless steel, with strength and good corrosion resistance. Used in many applications in the home, farm, business, automotive and industrial fields.

work as they should. hard to find m8x1.0 nuts but these are cheap and do the trick.
