These hex nuts are great. Ever since I found serrated locking nuts many years ago they have been my preference over nylon locking nuts. The flange with the serrations provides a nice wide base without using a washer. You just have to make sure you can afford to bite into the substrate because it will leave a mark. The biggest advantage is you can use these nuts in a blind application and the serrations will provide enough friction to tighten everything from one side only. A real time saver.This set of 50 is sized at 5/16-18 and is manufactured well. The threads are perfect, the hex is correctly sized, the serrations are distinct and evenly machined, and the finish is great. This is a good value for 50 well made nuts.

Three nuts have good tolerances and they all seem to be in spec. The serrated flanges are a nice added benefit for vibrations and scenarios where your hardware might back out.

Nice flange nuts. Well-made, well finished, and strong. Theis style nut is great as long as you have the room to install as they are similar to locknuts and resist backing out over time due to the serrations on the flange.

Hex flange nuts are nuts with a wide flanged portion near one end that acts as an integrated non-spinning washer. These flange nuts come with serrations on the bottom creating a locking effect. The serrations bite into the material, making the nut less likely to loosen over time due to vibration. Zinc is by far the most common and economical type of plating for fasteners. It is ideal for indoor use, where it won't be exposed to the elements. This set of 50 comes in a small tight fit clear box. Overall this is an honestly advertised product. Good value too.Cheers
