These sandbags are sturdy, well reinforced and easy to use. The zippers are good and it's easy to unzip them and toss in rocks or sand or whatever you have available to hold your stands down. I would recommend these as they will last a long time and are so easy to use.

I had to buy sand. Sure, okay. When I filled it one up, I accidently dropped it about 2ft from the ground and the seams ripped open and sand was everywhere. Bad quality, do not recommend

First, these bags are of excellent quality! They are of a "saddle" type with a narrow handle at the top, and two, large compartments on either side. This design makes it easy to place over various arms on stands, tripods, and legs, to anchor them down. The main body fabric - 1669D Oxford Fiber - is tough and not likely to ever tear open. The strap is like seatbelt material - very strong and virtually unbreakable. The seatbelt material wraps around the entire bag, running down the sides and across the bottom, and also helps to form the top handle. The zippered opening is about 9" long, closing from bottom to top.The idea behind these bags, is to fill them on location, and not lug around heavy bags when traveling to a remote location. On a personal note, I traveled overseas some years ago, taking over a small, portable jib. In order to use the jib, it requires about fifty (50) pounds of weight. Rather than airship the weights at a high price, we arranged to have weights waiting for us. (These are basically standard weights one would use in a gym).If you are working close to your studio or home, you don't want to spend time looking around for "weight" for the bags. Sandbags make sense. But if you are traveling, if space is at a premium, these bags are excellent! You can also find "weight" to fill the bags up - rocks, gravel, filled water bottles - it's endless what you can use.Bottom Line - An excellent idea to have in your kit. You never know when you need some weight or extra weight. They take up little space when empty and can really help you out when safety is important!

I’m not a professional photographer but on occasion I do some photoshoots with strobes and softboxes on tripods. Nothing very heavy but it doesn’t take much to make the tripods top heavy. When I’m doing shoots involving kids I try to find ways to block off the tripods or add some weight but it’s not always successful. Last shoot one of the kids knocked over a tripod. There was no damage or injury but I decided I needed a better way to weigh down the tripods. These sandbags are perfect. There are 2 bags and I’m usually using 2 tripods so that’s good. The canvas material is strong, it’s not super thick and strong but it is more than good enough to hold what I need. I havent put sand into these. I dont like the mess that sand always causes and the zippers on the bags are strong but I dont think they would hold fine sand particles and I’d never get them clean. I have some clean beach rocks that my wife was using for rock painting so I just put some of these into the bags. They add enough weight and dont leave a mess. I dont fill the bags I dont want to carry around 120lbs but the bags so far have held up to the weight I have put in.

These sandbags feel well-made with their heavy-duty fabric, making them durable for securing photography equipment like light stands, boom arms, and tripods. However, I got them to hold down Halloween and Christmas decoration sets. The zipper closure helps keep the sand in place, and the nylon handle makes it easier to move around. However, they don’t come pre-filled, so you'll need to find sand or another suitable filling. Overall, a solid option for stabilizing gear, but be prepared to fill them yourself

I'm using these bags to hold down my camera tripod. Now, to be clear, I'm not a professional photographer, but I do enjoy taking sunset photos, or long exposure photos. Usually, I rig up my camera bag to weigh down my tripod and reduce movement from the wind. But when I need something from my camera bag... let's just say it just gets frustrating, especially once it gets dark. So these saddle bags have been a great addition to my photography kit. They come empty, so you can use whatever you happen to have on hand. It doesn't have to be sand. Since I drive to my locations, I can just stuff them with filled water bottles, bags of candies, whatever I reach for will work.I'm really looking forward to taking these with me on my next vacation. They won't take up very much space in my luggage. I can fill them when I get to the other end. They appear to be well made. The webbing is sewn in a way that it also provides support under the bags to help carry the weight. The fabric has a plastic or rubber (not positive what it is) liner for added reinforcement.Overall, I am glad I ordered these saddlebags and am looking forward to more long exposure photos.

The material seems to be great quality. Will be using this in the summer to hold down my cantilever patio umbrella. Can't wait to use them as they will look much better than the sandbags that I currently use. I haven't been able to actually use them yet as it is the dead of winter but I'm super excited to.
