This is for my new wood stove and will work fine. I'm not sure if it's heavy duty enough for a big fireplace chimney though. My stove pipe is 6 inch so this fits it well. I've only used it once and I do use a product that makes the soot harden.....but it seemed to do a good job of cleaning it out. Not sure if I'd use this one on my dryer vent since it has soot on it now..but would be perfect for that as well...I'd definitely recommend this for medium to light duty jobs.

Brush too small to clean chimney. Not wide enough. Takes alot of time trying to use it for the chimney. This work best for dryer vents. The brush is the same size as dryer vent. Also one of the extensions broke while trying to clean chimney.

Ordered 6" for my 6" chimney and brush is 4" at best. Also bristles are broom bristles...not strong enough. Didnt clean a bit of creosote. Value at zero dollars as it doesnt work. Would not purchase or recommend

While perhaps good for dryer vents, and well designed with flexible rod handles, the brush head was way too small and flimsy for my woodstove chimney. Also, the white handle rods did not stay white in the chimney...
