I was looking for a mechanical hour meter so I had no worries of hours being erased on my track car. This will help me know when to change oil and fluids since I do not have a speed sensor and my odometer is frozen.Knowing that this design is stolen from a honeywell $60 hr meter, I was skeptical but rolled the dice. Showed up, very easy to install, dropped right into an existing switch port on my tacoma.If it fails I'll just do it right and buy the honeywell legit sensor, but for now it has 2 hours on it and is very accurate to the 6 min intervals.

I bought a new outboard motor, using this hour meter to monitor usage.I didn’t “install†it, simply wired and secured to the harness; I have to crawl under the console to look at it, but I’d rather not cut a hole to mount it.

Works well. Really like the little white/black ticker to the right of the 1/10th make. The ticker clicks back and forth about every 10-12 seconds to let you know the unit is working.

Installed this on my riding lawn mower. Moisture has gooten on the inside and the condensation obscures the numbers.
