I thought I wanted to add an hour meter to my 2010 Bayliner 175BR. I selected this unit as it seemed to match the style of existing gages in my boat. The hour meter did match the style and was exactly as described. However, I decided against using it and returned it. For one, There was no good place to mount it. Then there was the issue of mounting this in a thirteen-year old boat with lots of hours on the engine.Return was easy and hassle-free.

Thought I was getting a replacement dial hour meter just like the picture in the add, No worries tho I’m going to still install it and see if it works. Picture is the new digital meter I received.

I purchased the hour meter to log accrued time on my boat's motor. Like others have reviewed, the instrument is not a mechanical hour meter as pictured, it is a liquid crystal, digital display. When the boat is in storage, I disconnect the battery. Disconnecting the battery erases the accrued time rendering the instrument useless for my needs.
