I use this product for coffee. It’s quick and easy to assemble and it takes less than 10 minutes for your coffee to be done perfect for me.

The lid does not easily open and shut, but stays stuck. It stays stuck because the pin of its hinge is not centered but drilled-in off-center. One wonders how such a simply product, with three pieces to it, can be manufactured and sold in defective condition, so obviously without quality control? Unacceptable, I have returned it.

Cheaply made and that is unfortunate! The handle started to deform after moderate exposure to heat ... it is a combination of poor design & poor choice of material for the handle. On the unit itself, the gasket is also cheap as it could not stand to the heat, it became slimmer and doesn't seal well anymore ... not to mention emitting a burnt plastic smell when being used.

This moka pot does the job when it comes to brewing coffee, giving you that classic stovetop espresso taste, especially if you enjoy Italian or Cuban-style coffee. But, honestly, it’s not without its issues. The aluminum construction feels pretty flimsy—it’s really thin, and you can tell it’s not the sturdiest thing out there. The basket for the coffee grounds is surprisingly small, which seems odd for a pot this size. It limits how much coffee you can actually brew, which is a bit of a letdown. The biggest headache, though, is the design flaw with the basket. After brewing, it’s ridiculously hard to get the coffee basket out. Cleaning it becomes a chore, and that’s just not something you want to deal with after your morning coffee ritual. It makes decent coffee, sure, but the cheap build and awkward design make it hard to love. If you’re on a tight budget and don’t mind working around these quirks, it’s okay. But if you value something that’s easier to use and more durable, I’d say spend a little extra on a better moka pot.

I have been making coffee with moka pots for years now. These seemed not very good when I got my hands to them, but in the end, they worked just fine. They have the classic octagonal shape and the rough but sturdy aluminum build. From my experience, I can tell the rough aluminum builds work the best and last the longest. In terms of performance, I have nothing bad to tell. They work fine. Cleaning (by hand) was easy as you could reach down with each piece. The aluminum body was easy to clean and did not have any color changes so far. The outside was also plain aluminum with no paint, so you will not have any concerns about the paint changing color or chipping off. Similarly, the inside is also plain aluminum with no coating, so you will not have any problems with scratches or rusting. The filter and silicone rings seem to be well in place, at least for now. There were no leaks from the center where you screw the two pieces together. And I did not experience any leaks or spills from the top as I pour. The hinge of the top lid was quite strong. Those are usually the things that can be problematic even with moka pots that work fine and these passed my use test quite well. However, here are some more things you should know:- The size is quite small if you drink loads of espresso by a mug like me. For the classic small size servings though, they should be fine.- While the product page mentions the brand "Vaolvpant", they don't really have any brand names on the package.- There were no cleaning or care instructions either in the package or on the product page. Note that, normally, you have to wash these by hand and not use too strong chemicals to make sure the aluminum body stays shiny as the first day.- The product visual was funny, showing someone pouring coffee with the thumb touching the supposedly very hot lid. Don't do that! You will burn your thumb.Overall, they worked quite well. The only thing that did not suit me was the 150ml size as I prepare and drink espresso by large amounts. This one would not fill a mug, but that is just me, as espressos are not really supposed to be drunk in large amounts by mugs. But, if you are fine with the size, they work great. The price of $19 CAD at the time of writing might sound high for moka pots of this size, but moka pots are in general pricey, and this price seems fair. If you are fine with the small size, I can recommend.

Disappointed with this moka pot. It leaked from the first use, making a mess every time. Expected better quality, but it just doesn’t seal properly. Not worth the hassle.

PROS:> It was easy to put make a coffee in one pot, with the disassemble and the addition of the coffee grounds, it doesn't take too much time> I got the 14 cup size, making it a large capacity coffee maker, giving you a lot of coffee in one pot> It gives a tasty brew of coffee after each useCON:> It takes a while to heat up due to the amount of coffee you need and the amount of coffee grounds you added> You won't be able to tell initially how much time it finishes brewing so you would have to check it yourself and time it> There are a lot of troubleshooting to do before brewing my first cup of coffee

Having worked in retail as a manager, I’ve encountered countless coffee makers and can confidently say this 9-cup aluminum moka pot holds its own against higher-priced brand names. It delivers a similar quality of stovetop espresso without the hefty price tag, making it a fantastic value for coffee enthusiasts. The design is practical and efficient, producing rich, flavorful espresso in a relatively short time. While it may not have the premium polish of high-end models, it performs admirably for those who enjoy the bold, concentrated flavor typical of moka pots / stove espresso.Overall, this moka pot is a great choice for anyone looking for an affordable yet reliable way to brew stovetop espresso. It's perfect for coffee lovers who want the experience of a traditional brewing method without overspending.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is a very well made Moka pot.I've used one before, but had been a while so I watched a couple tutorials to make sure I was using it correctly. It simply did not percolate the way it should. It should take under 10 minutes to complete extraction, and this was going for much longer than that. You would normally want to preheat the water, And then put the pot over a medium low heat . But this simply wouldn't percolate without a much higher heat. This leads to cooking the grounds and a horrible taste. The biggest problem is the coffee leaked out the top of the lid making a huge mess on the stove. A leak at the top, next to the handle, can't be due to user error. If it had leaked around the gasket, or at the connection point, That would probably be my fault.... But for it to leak so much out of the handle while the lid is closed is a product design flaw. And don't say I should have the lid open, because it also made a huge mess doing that! I also saw some weird black gunk came out of the handle where it connects to the pot.Otherwise it's very basic, which would normally be fine for me! But the pot I received was already scratched up when I took it out of the box.So. Overall. Not great! Would not recommend.
