Good enough for the occasional user but I would look elsewhere if you are a tradesman and will use it frequently. This is thinner than others. The snaps are a bit of a joke and will most certainly fail. If you are using it once in a while this should do the job. Not great but not bad for the price.

Great item to have on hand for welding jobs to protect and deflect whilst welding.Thick enough and large enough for small to medium welding projects.

Nice size for using in tight spaces. Has held up well for several projects. For the cost it is very handy protection. There was no noticeable burning or heat transfer. Works beautifully.

I purchased this to avoid causing damage to surrounding areas when doing plumbing repairs. The blanket is indeed fire resistant, I held the lighter on the corner for about 30 seconds with no issues. The product is lightweight and kind of flimsy, but it will work for the application. The edges are unfinished, so it may deteriorate over time. Annoyingly the snap doesn’t actually snap to hold the bottom of the blanket together around a pipe, so I used a metal clip meant for closing a bag of chips. I would buy this again knowing that it’s inexpensive and probably won’t last that long, but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t recommend it knowing those caveats.

I had a leaking toilet valve that needed replacing and so I looked up some instructional videos. Aside from a new valve, I needed a heat shield for sweating the old solder off my existing valve. Amazon had this simple deal and it was well worth it. I torched the valve off and didn't do a bit of damage to my wall because of this shield. Simple and affordable solution.

It's a little thinner than I expected but otherwise it has done its job. I am usually brazing alot in my job and this is handy to just place behind where I am working to keep from burning anything up. Good price, works like it should, build wise it is pretty decent material.
