The connector itself is waterproof, as stated. You will need to, obviously, waterproof the wire connections. Perhaps heat shrink and/or silicone caulking will work.

I tested one of these connector pairs with 10 amps from a regulated bench supply. The wire got warm (see attached thermal image), but not hot, which indicates to me that it's truly 16-gauge copper with a current capacity somewhat higher than 10A. This should be good for most addressable LED strips, which is how I'm using them.The silicone gasket arrangement should provide reasonable water resistance, although I didn't do a submersion test. I'm not 100% confident that they'll maintain a complete seal if the connection is twisted or tugged, because it doesn't seem like the gasket exerts much pressure against the outer housing, but that's not going to be an issue for meRecommended.

Nice factory style connectors that are easy to install. Makes accessories installation easier and wiring look like it came of the assembly line with it.
