This is my "beater" that protects my Tahoe from road salt and such and has just shy of a quarter million on it. This car was bought nearly a decade ago and got both of my sons through their first 4 years of college so it doesn't owe me a dime, but now I'm keeping it, installed a couple of amplifiers, higher tier speakers, a Kenwood Excelon head unit, a single 10" subwoofer and multiple cameras to record everything (including when a door is open for people who have broken into it!) so anyway...This was once again due for a new timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, as well as the front cam & crankshaft seals, valve adjustment with a new valve cover gasket and a coolant flush as that is absolutely required when installing a NEW water pump!Of course when I popped the radiator cap the seal was torn, so I had to order another. This came in within 72 hours and is identical to the OEM cap I installed on this when I did the last timing belt job on this when I bought it for my sons. Just for reference, despite being a significantly disabled veteran, I am a VERY over-educated life long professional mechanic, even owned my own garage that won "best garage in the valley" each year I owned it for the final 15 years and I had won that award 3x prior to that. I have had my ASE Master certification since I was 19 and still in technical college and had started my career in the field fixing small engines when I was 11 years old! I was also a tank mechanic on the Abrams main battle tank though I worked on just about everything and anything while in the Army (paid for tech college) as I've always been HUNGRY. I also have the L1L2 advanced certs and I don't know how many OEN certifications from schools I was constantly taking when they offered the at night as I want to know EVERYTHING (not possible, today more than ever!) and despite my CONSTANT schooling, I maybe know 15-20% of what I want to know! When you find someone in the auto repair field who claims they know EVERYTHING.....RUN as fast as your body allows.Anyway, talk about a book of a review for a simple radiator cap! It tested right on it's rating, fit in the radiator fill neck exactly like it belongs there!Radiator caps should be replaced (or at least tested and inspected!) anytime you're doing cooling system work such as when it was bought and years overdue for the timing belt & water pump when we bought it. It was, but the seal had begun to deteriorate and ear, so it was in need of a replacement.I HIGHLY recommend this radiator cap as it even appears to be manufactured by the company who supplied Honda when these were being built.I hope this review helps someone out!

The cap seems to be made nicely, but it didn't fit my 2004 Honda Civic LX Sedan. I'm keeping it just in case it fits another radiator in the future. Like I said, it seems to be a nice cap, and although it didn't fit, for the price, I'm keeping it around.

I've purchased two of these in recent months for an 03 Accord. Both failed almost immediately. Both didn't hold pressure and both times coolant leaked from under the cap. These caps don't fit snuggly either. A proper cap for an Accord should have a release pressure of 16. This cap doesn't mention a release pressure. I bought an OEM cap and have had no issues.
