I'm new to this...not the best authority. I gathered several tips online (no tips or instructions included with this kit).I removed a 1/4-inch bolt that required moderate torque to unseat. The drill bit alone did the job...didn't even get to the extractor.PROs: - Includes three 1/8" bits and four 1/8" extractors (the most frequently used size)OKs: - Extractors have somewhat inconvenient tool interfaces (see Note 1) - No square-drive tool included - Long extractors may require a deeper hole to work vs stubby extractors (see Note 2) - Blow-molded case is pretty good (not great) (see Note 3) - Left hand bits work well in mild steel - Branded product (but not a well-established brand. See Note 4)CONs: - No stated warranty- - - Notes - - -Note 1: The long extractors have square ends (no suitable tool included), but you can mount most of them in your 3/8-inch drill. Use the drill to exert high downward pressure and manually twist the extractor. (Supposed to avoid speed, apparently.) The #5 extractor will require a 1/2" drill chuck. The stubby extractors (which I prefer...see Note 2) can be used with a 1/2-inch socket and wrench, or a 1/2" socket mounted to your drill, if you have a square socket-to-hex adapter.Note 2: The stubby extractors are perfectly sized for each drill bit with a fairly shallow (1/16" to 1/8") hole, and so marked. The long extractors are sometimes not closely sized for the provided drill bits. For example, a 19/64" diameter hole must be at least 3/8" deep for the #5 bit to grab. 5/32", 3/16", and 1/4" diameter holes can work with a 1/8" or 3/16" deep hole if you up-size the extractor by one number.Note 3: The case will keep everything together. The embossed size markings are a little hard to read, but the printed map on the top lid helps. The 19 pieces are only held in by gravity, so no tip-overs, please. Despite this, getting them out of their slots is a little tedious. You need to label the case "Screw extractors," because Topme did not think to do that.Note 4: Topme has a few products, but not a website or extensive history.

This set helped me extract a screw stuck in my mower's carburetor so I could clean it out. I didn't feel like buying a whole new carburetor and this helped me prevent that. So glad to have such a comprehensive set on hand when I inevitably have another stripped screw I need to remove.

They seemed to be well made and sturdy but once you use the extractor it slips awayand can get the broken bolt out. So I returned it.

Great for getting bolts out that have either rounded or snapped. Do have to take your time and set everything up right. So far, I haven't had one fail. But I have had a couple take more than one shot to get the bolt out. So far not bad. I have used it about 8 times so far. Much better than the set I got from Nappa that broke every time for the most part.

At 1t I wasn’t sure about how these would perform. As It just so happened to work out a very short time after I received them I had need of them.I had 2 separate screws that were stripped very badly. I was able to get both of them out w/ relative ease using these bits. The only reason it doesn’t get the 5th star is that the shaft is rounded and doesn’t have the square grip for the drill so they’lll push back into the drill when a good amount of pressure is applied or spin after the tork reaches a certain pressure. That’s not unique to this bit set. Any set that has rounded shafts are prone to do that.In spite of that, long story short. They work…Get them…

This looks to be a good screw extractor let. I haven't need to use it yet but looking at the bits and the extractor bits they seem to be well built. The extractor bits are sharper than others that I have seen So with the correct technique these should do pretty good. I would recommend watch some videos on how to use these properly. I do wish the case held the parts in better. If you open it upside down everything falls out. I found that out real quick.

This is a nice extractor and bit kit to have in the garage. The extractors and bits seem to hold up well. Decent quality for the price.
