I use these pins to rotary tumble brass cases for reloading. Works wonders with Lemishine powder and dawn blue dish soap. If only using dawn, your brass cases will not come out as bright, and will not look like brand new brass. (Pros/Cons below)First cleaning is just a couple drops of dawn and 15-30 min tumbling. This ensures no dirt will damage or prematurely wear my de-priming dies. After primers are removed, I put less than a teaspoon of Lemishine and a few drops of dawn. Tumble for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Brass comes out looking brand new and saves a ton of time cleaning primer pockets.I Clean:-9mm Luger (9x19)-.357mag/.38spl-.45 auto /Long Colt-6.5 Creedmoor-6.5 Grendel-30 cal (7.62x54r/7.62x39/.308/blk)-.223/5.56-.458 (45-70 Govt)PROS:-cleans brass casings and parts exceptionally well and much faster than vibratory tumblers-easier to separate from straight wall cases than thinner stainless pins-brass comes out nice and shiny including primer pockets (large and small)-doesn’t seem to dent or mar brass even though a few of them are somewhat sharp-These are less magnetic than mild steel. Appear to be very low 300 series stainless. I’d wager 302-Will not get stuck in primer pockets large or smallCONS:-price is a little high, but if they last it will be worth it-can get stuck in 223/556 casings at the neck. A few shakes will dislodge them-Cannot effectively be used in vibratory tumblers

This will work in a vibratory or drum tumbler to give a shiny finished surface. It will not work in a magnetic tumbler, as I have found out the hard way. I will repair my drum tumbler and use it in that.

I've used steel pins for the last 15 years to clean brass in my thumbler tumbler. Was told about this and tried it and immediately bought a second 5 pounds for my Rebel 17 tumbler. Life is so much easier over pins! Now the downside is I realized way to late that 223/556 brass it gets stuck in the bottom. Can't check this with a magnet like the pins. It's magnetic to the point you can lift it on its own weight but can't check for stuck pieces inside brass like with the pins. If this was only a few thousandths shorter! Now I have about 10k of 223 brass that needs to be checked so I don't break decapping pins! The fun of using an ice pick to pop the media out. At first I was just tossing the brass out. Great for 9mm, 38/357, 308 ..etc..But anything based on 223 like blackout, 204 Ruger don't use it! As that is my my main caliber I'm in big trouble! Going to have to try another media type as I can't go back to pins now!!! Update. Since the media is perfect for all brass except 223/556 I had to find a solution. As it is half of what I shoot and to make 300 blk. Tried their balcones and they got stuck as well, so they sent me just steel balls. Take a little longer but they don't get stuck! No more steel pins. The company really worked with me on this!! Great folks!!

This media works great for wet tumbling brass casings. The only downside is it does not get the primer pockets very clean because the media is as big as 223 and 9 mm small primer pockets.

These chips work great. They polish the brass as well as the pins. They are too large to get stuck in the flash holes but too small to get caught in the case throat. My only objection is that there were a fair number of .047x.255 pins in the mix. I'm slowly removing them. Definitely not a big issue as I have not gotten a stuck pin so far, just a bunch in the tumbler tub when rinsing them. Great if you tumble 6.5 Creedmoor.

I'm sure there's better shot out there, but this for the price is going to be hard to beat. It doesn't cause damage, and polishes pieces exceptionally well, I'm actually considering ordering another batch of it just because it's outstanding. I've used it a lot over the past month and from the looks of it I should be able to use it for years, and am really looking forward to it!Rarely do I say "I Love X product " ,but for this shot 10/10 Love it!I'd be surprised if there was ever a negative review or experience with it. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to dry,and one of the best purchases I've made in years.

Works great. Happy with them. I use a spaghetti strainer to dump the tumbler out and rinse off the shot. Makes my copper jewelry sparkle and is great for cleaning some pieces. Chain gets tangled though.
