Recently started tumbling stones again and learned the value of using media, especially with larger stones and slabs. Sackorange has a good selection of shapes and sizes and one of the best values that I have found. We work mostly with agate and as with all media, it does wear out (just like the stones).

Using these in my final polish stage with 8000 aluminum oxide. They help to get everything super shiny. Very nice ceramic media.

I added these, along with 2 other sizes of ceramic media, to my tumbler. As the rocks progressed through each stage, I transfered the ceramic media with it. (Be sure to thoroughly was stones an media between stages)I had much less bruising and got faster results when using these. After weeks in the tumbler they don't even look worn down, just smooth and polished. If I could give 6 stars I would!

5.033 lbs (including thick plastic container)They need to be cleaned before use, which I do with all my ceramic media.EDIT ADD-ONMany of these spheres have large, dark bits of something embedded in/on them. These dark bits have a Moh's hardness > 7.5, and they scratched up everything, including cracking and breaking 2 otherwise spotless quartz.

This is NOT Non-Abrasive. I leaves a thick film of black nastiness even after cleaning and rinsing before use. this ruined hundreds of hours of resin work.
