Using a Stainless steel media is important to avoid rust and works great for wet tumbling. The abrasion resistance of Stainless steel media is 3-5 times greater compared to cast steel media. Stainless steel media can be used over and over as long as it is stored properly. After using, strain in a fine mesh Strainer and lay out the pieces on a dry towel. Pat dry with another towel and let them air dry in a dry sunny area before storing. Some customers prefer to keep them stored completely submerged in water. Either way they will provide you with many uses.

This shot works very well in a rotary tumbler when used correctly and pieces are finished correctly to polish and work harden sterling silver. Make sure to take care of it properly-clean and dry after using before storage. I added a little pack of silica to the container to keep moisture away.

This shot is the perfect size for my jewelry tumbler. It’s large enough that it doesn’t get caught in the bead holes or intricate designs. Exactly what I needed.

I have used this in my tumbler many times and it does a great job on my sterling silver jewelry. It seems to be high quality stainless steel (I always rinse and dry it before storing it) and the shape works well for polishing.

I used to use the pin type tumbling media and invariably would have the little light pins stuck inside the case or primer pocket hole after rinsing. Very annoying I gave up on tumbling a couple of years ago because of that until I found these. They are much heavier and chunckier than the pins so they clean better and dong cling into the cases and drop easily and separate when rinsing. My cases are shiny again!

They seem to work. Still working on formula for the tumbling mix but the shot with a bit of Brasso, soap and water added really resulted in a nice finish on a batch of nuts and bolts.
