I had a field rat getting into my house..I stuffed this in the holes around my cellar. Guess who hasn’t been by to visit? You guessed it. I assume they hate the feeling on their paws. Anyway, it was easy to tear into lengths I wanted. I coiled it loosely and stuffed it in. It’s been two weeks and no visitors!

used this to seal off all entrances to our house through the weeping hole throughout my house. Allows the house to breath as well as making sure any rodent's are prevented from entering.

The helps to fill gaps, cracks and act as a barrier but it’s only about 2.5†wide as shown in the second description photo. I’m not sure if the 3†measurement is rounding up or if you stretch it out but then it loses its effectiveness. Still works pretty well to fill around my water pipes and drains as the building owner has not taken care of the rodent infestation.

I made a filter for my biogas digester to filter the gas. The gas needs to be filtered because it contains hydrogen sulfide, which is highly corrosive to metals. Steel wool works great to filter it because it will react with the steel and the steel in wool form has a lot of surface area for the hydrogen sulfide to react with it. I just pack this PVC tube that the gas flows through with the steel wool and then I can feed the gas into my stove burner without my stove getting wrecked by the hydrogen sulfide.

It's a 2-pack of steel wool. Planning to use it with some spray foam to plug up some weep holes in the brick facade where the mice are getting through. Should work just fine for this.

This is more usable than unraveling common steel-wool for tucking in around holes for wiring. I should be able to seal holes much better.

I used this to fill some gaps in a shed that keeps getting overrun by field mice. Spray foam just gets chewed through, but steel wool works great for keeping them out. This is a fair price for 10 feet, so no complaints.
