The rolls were GREAT! I live in a small apartment with carpet on both sides of my door. The hallway has other apartments and opens to the outside with a door at the end of the hallway. The steel wool sticks to the bottom of the door and even when you open it, it still sticks. Mice HATE steel wool so it formed a wonderful barrier until I can get something more permanent to cover the space beneath my door.

In all of my years, I've never had a problem with mice.... until now. It's not a huge problem, but I had mice that were getting into my basement. They chewed into a Costco sized bag of lentil beans and ate a whole bunch. (That's how I discovered the problem.) I noticed that I had several holes and gaps around pipes that contractors had drilled to allow pipes to enter my home. I put out some traps which seem to have eliminated the problem, but I waned to fill all of the openings so that the problem would be permanently solved. I purchased the steel wool for mice control and was impressed with the product. It is a nice quality that I can't imagine that any animal would want to chew. It is a thin, rolled up spool that is easy to shove into cracks and gaps.

This 2-pack, featuring 3"x10 ft rolls of steel wool, is highly effective at filling gaps and blocking entry points that mice and other small animals might use to invade your space. The steel wool is sturdy and well-made, making it a reliable barrier against pests. The 3-inch width and 10-foot length provide ample material for covering a significant number of gaps and holes. It’s easy to use—simply stuff the steel wool into the holes or gaps, and it expands to fill the space securely. What I particularly like about this product is its durability. The steel wool holds up well against weather and wear, maintaining its effectiveness over time. It also doesn’t rust or degrade quickly, which is a major plus for long-term pest control. The product is also versatile, suitable for use around pipes, vents, and other entry points. It’s a cost-effective solution that can save you money on more extensive pest control measures.Overall, Steel Wool Mice Control is a practical and efficient option for anyone looking to secure their home against unwanted rodents. It’s easy to apply, highly effective, and offers excellent value for the price. Highly recommended for anyone dealing with pest issues!

Well, I never thought I would say "I love this steel wool!", but I truly do love this steel wool! Even my husband Jim commented how nice it is when he first saw it.We needed some additional steel wool to plug up possible mice entrances into our home and garage, and gnaw areas. So pleased with this steel wool!- Incredibly well made. Heavy duty and durable.- Easy to trim into the desired portion for hole plugging and other uses.- Usage Tip: Be sure to wear gloves when working with the steel wool. I also suggest trimming it on a piece of newspaper or similar surface, to catch tiny steel wool trimmings. Discard newspaper piece when done trimming your steel wool.- Tip when plugging up hard-to-access areas. If you are plugging up a whole or gnaw area in a difficult to reach/awkward area, we've found that putting a dab of calking on the steel wool provides some adherence and helps to more easily securely fill the area. This 2 piece package is a terrific value, too. I highly recommend this product.

Great quality. Easy to cut into pieces with scissors. Using to fill holes in knotty pine siding. Thankfully came with gloves. Seasonal cabin so we'll see after the thaw if mice were thwarted.

I stuffed this in the spaces around heating pipes and it really prevented mice traveling through!!

We live in a pre-war apartment building and have pipes that run from the floor to the ceiling in the kitchen and bathroom. There are gaps around the pipes where they pass through the floor and ceiling where roaches can easily come in. I stuffed the steel wool into the cracks and three days later I noticed the steel wool had become loose and was sort of “floating†away from the crack rather than stuffed tightly in like it had been. The pipes do get very hot during winter so I think it has to do with either the heat or maybe the pipes move slightly when they heat up and cool down, I have no idea. Back to square one.

Used both rolls to block cracks left by the contractor that remodeled the kitchen. Have not seen a single mouse since.
