We are pizza lovers so I’ve had many pizza paddles over the years. But this one is different in the best ways. It’s a perfect size, light weight, and the front is beveled to make it easy to slide under a pizza. Some of the metal ones don't feel nearly as sturdy as this one. And it’s the perfect slightly textured surface for slicing with a pizza wheel - the pizza doesn’t slide all over and try to leave the paddle! I’m a big fan!

This two Pack Wooden Pizza Peel is okay. It is a perfect size and sturdy. My biggest complaint is that it is made from plywood. The plywood is a higher quality, but I would prefer hardwood. The handle is kind of large and a bit awkward in your hands. The first time I used it, the pizza left a little stain that I could not clean. It can be used to launch the pizza into the oven, but I primarily use it to remove it from the oven and to serve the pizza. It could also be used for charcuterie or decoration.

Pizza Peel, 2 pack Vine review. Brand: NUTUNI. So two 14â€x14†peel surfaces with a handle to make it 20†max. They came wrapped with a cardboard wrap to protect the pickup edge. I have no ice skates, but I instantly wondered if those skate guards would protect these edges when not in use? 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸So they say this is birch, but it is plywood. And in the listing photos, you can see this. In the directions it says to wash first, with only water and let dry, but do not dry in the sun. I’m very skeptical of the plywood edge holding up, having seen edges as the Achilles heel of plywood, and a beveled plywood edge seems to be asking for trouble in the long run.I will ask the chef in the family about a possible “cure†/ fixative that could be used on something expecting to be in contact with both food and 500 degree temperatures. But initially, this just seems wrong.Also what glue was used to make this plywood? The listing only says food grade plywood. Ask the AI yourself on Google, sometimes (or always?) the "food grade" only applies to the surface, and this beveled edge has a lot of exposure to the inside of the plywood. This needs explaining.Giving a generous 3 star review on use of "food grade", bevel cut, plywood here.

Before I got these peels, I would make my pizza on a silicone mat, then transfer to my stainless steel peel, then to a cutting board when done. With these peels, I can put the pizza together on it, transfer to the oven, then slice on it when done. The pizza also releases easier than with the stainless steel peel and even though it is thicker, with the beveled edge it is no problem to get under the pizza when you want to turn it. Very convenient.

I have a variety of pizza peels but I recently replaced my old "beater" peel with a really nice teak peel that is fantastic, but I don't like cutting it all up with the rocker knife or pizza cutter. For cutting, I like a peel that I don't mind tearing up. These are great for that.As others have pointed out, these are just plywood, with one beveled edge. Not fancy at all, but they do the job and when they get all cut up and ugly looking after a few years of pizzas, I won't mind throwing them away and buying another pair. I just tried them out for the first time with some frozen pizzas and they worked great!

So I picked these peels up to use with my outdoor pizza oven.They're lightSturdyeasy to hold and launch, just a little flour and the pizza launches perfectlyEasy to clean, just wipe them down with a damp towel and they're good to goMy only concern is that they're made out of plywood, rather than a solid piece of wood, so I'm not sure if they'll start to split in the future. If they do, I'll be sure to update my review.You get 2 peals for the price, which is decent.

I was pretty happy with these initially. They are nice and work well. Unfortunately, I did wonder if the finely beveled edge of the plywood would be durable, and sure enough the edge started chipping away after only a single use. I've glued the piece back on, and have run some wood glue over the entire edge to try to strengthen it in future. It's important to know this if you are going to buy this product. But like I said they are not bad aside from this.
