Aside from ridiculous amazon packaging better suited to a $10 T-shirt, rather than a fine measuring tool, so far I'm satisfied with this product. Each divider came in its own plastic sleeve. I have only used the 6" divider. They are accurate, seem well-machined and in good clean shape. Just need to wipe a little oil off of them, and they work as advertised. Don't foresee using the 8", but anything's possible. So, yes, a good purchase, despite Amazon's handling.

It's a pack of two, a large and small. The large arrived bent and out of alignment. Both have crooked hardware, one bolt appears to be cross-threaded. Returning.Update: I cancelled the return. Higher quality dividers are not double the price, they are four times the price - about $80.I was able to tighten the hardware, as the bolt was not cross-threaded. The bent one I have not tried to fix but I only need the smaller one. These will work just fine for my woodworking needs. But guys, package the product in a box so they have a chance to survive shipping.

Well made, sturdy, beautiful designed tools. The tips are strong. Wish it came in a set of 3pcs with a smaller calipher. The 6" is big for what I mainly need it for. The 8" is huge will use for my bigger design construction.

I bought these to be used as navigational charting tools onboard my boat. The small one is Good, the big one is too big for what I need. So fine... I'll just use the small one (and continue to search for one that is even smaller). These tools are functional but in my opinion, they are not of the highest quality or of the greatest accuracy.
