The seal is slightly too thin to seal. Common o-ring sizes won’t work. I carefully filed the fitting down so cap could compress it. Also used thread seal and it hasn’t leaked, but will complicate cleaning out the screen someday. Typical Chinese mfg. quality control issue.

This is a Y strainer. There is no check valve at all. I contacted the seller but they have not updated the description. I would give this 4 stars if the description was correct.

Don't buy this. It looks lovely, but I couldn't unscrew the trap. Not with it in a vise, heated with a torch and hammering on the wrench. Save yourself a future headache and pay for a good one.

There was no way to open the strainer trap.

This is not threaded NPT I don’t know what it is, so I’m sending it back
