The part replaced a pot metal component which was destroyed when my compressor fell over. The pot metal disintegrated on impact, it was coated with copper/brass surface finish to hide the brittle pot metal.This replacement part is genuine brass metal. All threaded parts were well machined and the correct size. Installation was straight forward. I would caution to use a good, gap filling thread sealant when fitting to the compressor as the threading on the compressors is at best rough.Now I am working on a metal cover for the component and attached pipes. Better safe than sorry but this part is solid and will take impact without falling apart.

Perfect replacement part for California Air Tools Compressor Check Valve #01A490 used with many of their 2HP motors compressors. My check valve blew apart quite suddenly when the brass cap failed at the threads. I was able to swap it out with this part for a 1/3 of the normal replacement part. Very happy! Works with 4620AC and 10020AC and im sure a bunch more.

Epoxied in place because I damaged my tank threads removing the old valve (old valve was extremely brittle/cracked into 20 pcs).Threads matched up to all factory fittings on California Air 10020C. Machining/build quality is nice, will see how the function holds up over time.

My neighbor was throwing out a nice Craftsman vertical compressor that ran/made air. I saw him working on it with a hammer and an hour later it ended up on the street.... then in my garage. This check valve had failed and was causing the compressor to leak off after shutting off. Then, the compressor wouldn't start and would pop the CB because the tank load was pushing on the compressor pump. I installed this check valve and BOOM, up and running! This thing pumps air great and works like a champ.

Its appears to be a well made valve. Someone was tossing out an air compressor as it wasn't working as it should. I brought it home, started it up and diagnosed it as having a check valve that was leaking (on opening up the check valve I found the internals of the valve were missing) I couldn't locate a valve locally nor find a brass one on Amazon with the 1/8 fitting on the correct side. This valve was reasonably priced and after fabricating a new line the compressor is up and running.
