I bought these to remove excess aluminum from weld beads. As with most products used for this type of work, the abrasive surface loads up and the discs become less effective as they rapidly age. However, given the low cost per disc, I'm choosing to use them as they are better than any alternative I've tried and I am able to control the depth of aluminum removal with relative ease, to avoid unnecessarily damaging the relatively thin metal sheeting I'm working with. For the one project I have, making a motorcycle gas tank, I expect to use most but peobably not all of the discs in this pack.
