I occasionally need cotter pins and am so glad I picked up this product as it provides 12 different sizes in a compact storage container. Pins bend as needed and hold afterwards.

Well organized, good assortment, great insurance. These are solid cotter pins. This is a good kit to have on hand before you find yourself in need.

These are good quality pins that can be used over if necessary when you need to remove and replace a cotter pin, like on the side of the road. The variety of sizes and different thicknesses will cover a wide range of applications, and they come in a compartmented plastic case. These work well, are easy to install and remove, and they hold well unless they are somewhere that they can be snagged on things that are either not moving when you are, or moving by the location in an unpredictable fashion. So, for example, I would use a standard bend to lock type cotter pin on a motorcycle rear brake stay arm, as this one could get snagged on a bush or other road or trail obstacle and get pulled off. On the other hand, these are great for making sure my seat pins and air filter mounting pins stay in place, but can be easily removed and replaced, and for that they hold the fastener in place reliably. I think this is a good product, and represents a good value.
