I was replacing the flex pipe on a 2014 Explorer, and the factory resonator pipe had a similar looking clamp welded to it. The factory clamp nut and bolt were completely rusted, not worth the effort to save it, so it got sliced off.The resonator pipe had a slit in it (factory), so the clamp of choice for this application is a band clamp like this on.After assembling the pipes and attaching to catalytics, I realized that I should have put the clamp on first. I was able to open the clamp enough to slip it over the pipes, put the nut/bolt together, and tightened until the two ear at the bolt just about touched. Worked perfectly.Dimension was correct, nut/bolt was good, (17mm), great clamp. And I have a spare now!

Plenty of room to fit over pipes. Sincehed down well. No leaks. Did not require exhaust paste. Quality product.

I purchased these for a project converting my truck exhaust system over. Clamps are very easy to use and are of a good build quality. However watch over righting the bolts as they will break off if you apply to much torque using and impact gun that was about the only complaint I had as I did use other clamps which did withstand the torque from my impact gun and tighten down very well. But compared to the price of a traditional muffler clamp these are a great value and being stainless you won’t have to worry about them rusting out over time. I have converted over to using these style of clamp which make it easier to remove and replace part on my exhaust systems if needed traditional cramps crimp the connections and make them hard to remove or adjust if needed as well. The traditional muffler clamp can leave small gaps where these apply even pressure around your pipe to give you a leak free connection. Definitely will be using these again. Just wish they would put a heavier grade Bolt system on them.

Have challenger.. from factory always had slight leak from mid pipes meeting back half of exhaust! put these on and its gone!
