I use these clamps on my aluminum 3.5" exhaust on my 915hp mk2 jetta and it holds the exhaust together pretty good even on 2 step.

True to size 3.5" tight fitting. Used to cover a hole where the prior welded on bracket had no vibration protection, and had torn a 3/4"X 2 1/4" strip out of the pipe. The 3" width just covered it , and the 3.5" diameter tightly sealed the leak great. Due to the Texas heat and a busy schedule the local exhaust shop was behind schedule and full, on two occasions. This is servingthe purpose great until a more permanent fix can be made. Heavy duty and made from good quality materials, with a nice fit and finish. Also attached a bolt on hanger to one bolt to support exhaust from original factory bushing. Working perfectly again.

I bought these as replacements clamps for my Peterbilt's exhaust stacks, as the originals have started leaking. I notice a few differences right away: These exhaust clamps are thinner than the original, and unlike the original, they are the same diameter at both ends. The OEM clamp is thinner at the top, then expands by a couple millimeters in the middle to accomodate the overlap of the muffler and the pipe where they join. I also noticed that the attached hardware is not a perfect fit, as you can see in particular in the fourth photo.I was unable to get a leak-free fit. To be fair, this could be because the inlets on my mufflers are old and corroded. I may attempt to use the hardware that shipped with these clamps on my original clamps to see if that combination is any better.Installation was finicky, but that is the rule rather than the exception with these. I highly recommend taking the heat shield off the mufflers before attempting this installation, as it's almost impossible to reach and see what you're doing with the heat shield in place.

Used these to connect a straight pipe in place of my muffler. Clamped them on straight, wasn't on any curves or bends, yet there were large gaps & they did not seal.. They do seem to be a good quality stainless.. But what good are they if they don't work... Ended up having to putty the gaps until the new stainless u-clamps I ordered get delivered.

Part does end up fitting but apparently we and the Chinese have 2 different versions of 3†a better quality seal clamp fits way better with probably a better seal all the way around but this will just barely fit but for the price I would say they are you might expect

I’m a purchaser at my company so I don’t review things here very often unless they are outstanding and my experience with them contradict many of the reviews I read before purchasing.Before I bought this clamp I read that many folks had leaks and it didn’t seal completely.I used this clamp on a new section I made with new pipe to the old pipe section that wasn’t still rusty, but the pipes were every so slightly different diameters and it was very difficult to get the old pipe completely cleaned up after making my cuts.Where my install is different than most I would imagine is that I used an impact gun and really tightened this down good. When I did so I could see how tight it was as I could see the joint between the pipes and all the imperfections of the old pipe I could see as little dimples so I knew I had a very tight connection.After three weeks of driving my new setup on a diesel truck I am 100% certain it is not leaking at all at the joint I used this clamp on as there is no soot visible at all around the clamp.
