I wanted to try pressing flowers for some crafts and chose this flower press. I followed the directions on the paper that came with and found a few issues. The paper instructions say for the last step to heat the press for three to five minutes, so I did four minutes being I was using a large hibiscus flower. There was no safety warnings on how hot the wood for the press would get and that it needed at least four to five minutes of cool down time till it was safe to touch. The wood was still warm to the touch ten minutes after sitting. The flower browned the petals but the center part of the flower was still a bit moist. I was wondering how to prevent this from happening again and found the ad video says to do one minute increments in the microwave which I think would have been nice to know on the paper directions. The kit is nice and I like that it came with a bag for storage. I not sure it’s worth the price, but with proper instructions would recommend.
