It’s November in Colorado, which means the flowers I’ve grown on my balcony will soon be wilting and perishing. Boo.I wanted to preserve my beautiful Queen Sophia marigolds and Sweet Alyssum wildflowers for crafting purposes, so I figured this lovely flower press would be the perfect way to do it without shoving them into books the usual way.The high-quality press is reasonably easy to put together — it’s composed of two big flat wooden boards held together with screws and easy-to-twist wing nuts. You simply insert the flower pressing materials that come with this kit (as well as the flowers themselves, of course) and then screw the wooden boards together tightly. That’s about it!If you need help with the order of operations for the inner materials (drying sheets, blotting papers, etc.) the included diagram describes how to lay everything out, and there are tutorial videos available all around the web.(Note: I would advise against screwing the boards together until it’s time to press your flowers! You may be very frustrated with yourself if you do this, since traditional old-school flower press boards like this screw together very tightly.)Be sure to leave the flowers in for 1-2 weeks depending on your climate and which types of flowers you’ve chosen. The notecard for writing the dates the flowers were pressed certainly helps with keeping them in for the right amount of time! I also appreciate that this flower press kit comes with additional screw parts, just in case you lose any.All in all, this is a pretty good value for a durable traditional flower pressing kit that will bring joy to the gardener/crafter in your life. Happy pressing, flower friends!

We’d gotten another flower press on here a while ago, but it was broken. This one arrived in perfect condition and did a great job pressing our flowers. Unfortunately, the season was ending by the time I got this one, so I was only able to do one pressing, but it was great being able to save some of our blooms for winter projects. Looking forward to all the pressing we’ll do when winter ends.

We purchased this as a gift for our very crafty daughter for Christmas. While we live in NY and there are no flowers to be found at the moment, she is VERY excited to use this press as soon as those first few crocuses sprout up this spring. She has already made a plan for some of the projects she would like to use this for. We opened everything up and the materials are high quality and durable. It's surprisingly heavy! Our daughter loved the flower designs across the top of the press - it's a lovely and elegant touch. The instructions are minimal, basically just telling you how to layer things, so we will have to look online for some more detailed instructions about drying time. Overall, a high quality product that we'd recommend.

I had gotten another one of these a little while back that I had originally rated very well, but then it broke on me after the review because of what appeared to be poor design choices. So when I got this one, I was hoping that the design would be better and held off on reviewing it for a while.I am really glad to be able to report that it works really well, I have not had an issue with it breaking, I can get the clamps pretty tight. Overall, I definitely am a fan of the quality and design.

We got this just in time to press some leaves and late fall flowers. The kit comes with everything needed to press and dry. It is just two pieces of wood and hardware with 4 adjustable washers - the holes that are drilled area but tight and could have been sanded down a bit, and there is no kind of finish or varnish on the slabs. For what it is and how it will be used, totally acceptable, just not "premium", if that is what you are after. If the holes were smoother and everything was easier to assemble, I might bump it up to 5 starts based on the price, especially if on sale.

This chipboard works wonderfully for bookbinding, offering the perfect balance of sturdiness and flexibility. The 12.5x10 size and smooth surface make it easy to handle, while the 50PT thickness ensures durability. It’s also great for other craft projects like making gift boxes or picture frame backings. The pack of 20 is a fantastic value, and I appreciate the high-quality material. Highly recommend it for crafters and bookbinders alike.

Really nice quality flower press. Comes with all the accessories and easy to use. The pricing of this is really good especially considering the quality.

This flower press kit is sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. Prior to getting this, I knew very little about flower press kits. I decided to look up more information on them. This one comes with everything that I saw described in the material I reviewed and it works just as it should. Keep in mind that this is not a short process and, depending on what you're pressing, you will need to set it up and keep it somewhere for two (or more) weeks. But this is a great kit and, like I said, seems to be in line with what's expected with kits like this.
