This is a great product! Comes simply packaged and even includes a plastic drop cloth to protect the floor. I used it from in the house going up through the damper in the stove up through the chimney, unfortunately I still had to get up on the roof to clean out the cap to ensure good air flow. I had hoped this would have knocked a lot of soot out of the cap but not so much. Even at that I was very well pleased with the performance and ease of use. I had no issues with the locking pins putting it together or taking it apart, each section secures well to the next and I see no way to have it come apart while using as I saw commented by others unless you do not have it aligned and locked together properly. Well made and simple, great product.

Used it after first year of using wood stove. It was easy to put it together and connect with a drill. Cleaned the chimney very well. The rod bend well so it was easy to get into the chimney from an angle.

Very easy to use but it really is a two person job if you are doing an interior wood stove. We used it for the piping going up and out thru the roof. Key is to thread it thru a Garda age bag and either have someone hold it or tape it. To avoid the bag from tangling we took a empty toilet paper roll and used it as a collar and this help. Product is a little pricey but works well. We made sure we did multiple passes. Just a warning have a rag to clean rod pulling it out as it is covered in soot so lay out a tarp for easy clean up . Overall works better than stiffer brushes

It's easy to get up on my roof, so I used this chimney cleaner from the top down rather than from the stove-end up. Before you buy this or any other chimney cleaner for a wood stove, note that the design of many wood stoves makes it impossible to use a brush up through the stove. The cleaner worked fine. Assembling the lengths of rod is easy, but taking them apart is somewhat harder. And you have to remove and reinstall the part of the set that fits into your drill every time you add a length of rod, so you have to do the taking-apart step quite a few times over during the cleaning process. A little pokey-tool is provided to help you push in the ball so you can take the joints apart, but using this thing kind of requires three hands. I was about to head into my workshop to make a different pokey-tool of my own design that I calculated would be much easier to use, but then I discovered that using a thumbnail worked okay. If your thumbnail is the right length and sturdy enough, it will probably work for you.

Great kit. Assembly is easy, use is nearly turnkey, and it works. Knocked the creosote out and was a cinch to pack pack up for next time.

It's hard to get excited about a chimney sweep kit, but this kit did the job easily and with little fuss. The brush was compressed during shipping, but when rotating on the drill opened up and did the job nicely.

The rods attached and separated without using the tool that was given. The rods bend enough for me so that I could clean my chimney out through the door at the bottom of the chimney. The only thing that I would have changed for me was that I didn’t notice that they sold a kit without gloves, plastic and the storage bag. Besides the extra stuff that I didn’t need I am very happy with the kit
