if you drop your needle, or need to reach anything thats magnetic it will grab a hold of itI cant keep it right next to my scissors and needles. it will grab them. I keep it on the other side of my chair on a side table. they work very well.

A needle rolled under the trim and wasn't coming out. Until this showed up and changed its mind. So strong, it was kind of a waste on a wee thing like a needle. I'll find better things.In the meantime I also used one as a metal detector here at home. Good news. None of the cats seem to have swallowed any metal objects. Today, anyway. Bonus.

Easy to use, extendable just like a radio aerial. Use it to pick up screws at work as I have a bad knee inflammation, so cannot bend the joint. Magnetic tip is quite strong, only issue I have is is it only picks up 3-4 screws at a time. But it is still worth it.
