The glass tube is very nice quality and has a nice weight to it. The hydrometers themselves feel nice in the hand and I don’t see any signs of damage or cracks. A great price for a whole kit and backup hydrometers. They seem to be pretty accurate at least for my purposes. The blurry bit in the image is from condensation from my hand not actually on the hydrometer.

These are not for beer, they are for hard alcohol. Just so you know.

Not for alcohols with sugar!I bought these for making sure my homemade lemoncello had the right end alcohol content but they can't be used with things with high sugar content. They're accurate for hard Liquers without sugar, but I knocked off a star because of that, even though it's noted in the (unnecessarily long) description.

It arrived fast, however I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet, so the review is only on the shipment, I took a good look at one and found that it is clear and easy to use.

Do not buy these, they are calibrated or weighed incorrectly. When I put them into the mash, the entire stem and top of bulb stuck out of the mash, not even anywhere in the reading range -defective product.

Read almost 10 below 0 in distilled water, so will read a lower proof than actually measured.

They seem to be exactly what I ordered......so.......happy about that. Uhhhh, they're made of glass, so do t drop them.
