Biggest mistake I have made in years!! JUNK!!But comes out every 3rd hole and you can’t tighten the set screw as it will strip. Junk!!!

I had never seen anything like these before, they allow you to drill a perfectly centered pilot hole for things like hinges or support braces. This set happens to include two sizes that I will likely be needing this weekend when I install a bunch of pergola brackets. I wish I had found these sooner.Basically, there is a ring on the end that keeps the (replaceable) drill bit centered in the hole of the hinge or bracket you are mounting. You drill a starter hole, mount your hinge/bracket with a single screw then drill perfectly centered holes for the rest.The construction of these centering bits seems pretty solid, but only time will tell how well they last. I should get a lot of use out of them this weekend and will update the review if my opinion changes.

Easy to use well designed tool that has a strong spring for quickly moving to the next hole. So far no problems just a great quality tool.
