I ordered this tape with the intention of using it on the 100+ year old dresser in the bedroom, but I decided to do the testing on some drawers that are even harder to slide. That’s how I ended up out in the garage removing a drawer from the 8 foot wooden workbench that my grandfather built in the 1930’s. The 2 thin top drawers have become more & more difficult to open in the past few years. Within 15 minutes I had the wooden slides cleaned and taped on the smaller drawer. What a difference just using the tape on the top of the slides made! I had thought I would need to also tape the sides of the slides due to what I thought was side-to-side binding, but the drawer moves with very little effort and doesn’t bind at all. Taping the slides on the larger (48†x 28†x 2.5â€) top drawer produced similar results. I even tried it on one of the large bottom drawers which holds about 80 - 90 lbs of C-clamps. After applying the tape even this drawer was substantially easier to move! I can’t wait to do my wife’s dresser and make it easier for her to slide the drawers in & out. What a tremendous product!

I used this tape on a well used 120 year old roll top desk. The drawers were all basic simple wood drawer bottoms on wooden drawer slides. Over the years I've tried everything from soap to other kinds of tape like electrical tape to make them slide easier, and nothing worked, or if it did it didn't last very long. This tape did the trick. You have to clean the drawer bottoms and slides well first, but so far the tape has stayed in place and the drawers are much easier to open and close.
