Make your own pizza steel! The first step is to soak it in vinegar overnight. The mill scale will just rub off. Next scrub it with soap an water. Place in a 350F oven for 5 minutes to dry. Then apply a thin coat of oil. I used grape-seed. Bake at 450F for one hour. After cooled, fire up the pizza oven and get up to cooking temp. Run a couple batches of pellets through. Let cool and wipe with a paper towel.

Needed small amount of 3/16" steel to patch some rust holes in a Jeep frame. Small quantity sources have dried up in my area, so this filled the bill. Only minor pick is one of the two plates had a good bit of dings and scrapes. Will buy again if needed.
